About the event

The early years of raising a child are often full of fun, magic, and play. When children struggle with anxiety, emotion regulation, or behavior problems it is often difficult for parents to understand or know what to do. This workshop will offer education and strategies to parents who are working to support their young children. Topics we will cover include:

- Overview of child development to understand important developmental tasks

- Discussion of attachment needs in children

- Understanding behavior problems and emotion dysregulation in young children

- Helping your child learn emotional intelligence and process difficult life experiences

This workshop is appropriate for parents of children who struggle with emotion disregulation, anxiety, depression, trauma, sleep difficulties, behavior issues, and attachment struggles. The workshop will be facilitated by Meg Hamilton, LPC.
